An investigation into sex abuse by United Nations peacekeepers in the world’s conflict zones. (Aired 2018) This journalism is made possible by viewers like you. Support your local PBS station here: 🤍🤍pbs.org/donate. Award-winning correspondent Ramita Navai (Iraq Uncovered) traces allegations from Congo to the Central African Republic, with firsthand accounts from survivors, witnesses and officials. Some survivors were as young as 10 when they say they were raped or exploited by UN peacekeepers who were supposed to protect them. The film explores the failures and constraints of the UN — which has the authority to fire people, but not prosecute them — and the role of member states in dealing with the problem. Love FRONTLINE? Ah yes like every other international organization like the WHO, IMF, and the United Nations etc. they all request millions in funding but of course never get anything done and only accept positions to benefit their selfish agendas but don’t really contribute anything significant to the world. Sadly it’s all game for politicians to control and the common people have no say. Sad world we live in
If these young ladies would not agree to have sex with these men (especially for money), I can't help but feel this situation might be taken more seriously.
I think every "peace keeper" should have a DNA sample taken before they're sent out, and every time a girl is raped (or a boy) they should immediately have a rape kit done and the DNA should identify the guilty man or men right away.
Thank you frontline
How can men be so EVIL. Hell is waiting for people who do things like this.....I hope they repent to God for this abomination that they have done to these CHILDREN. I pray to God that those all who were preyed upon by them, are strengthen by God and monetarily recompensed by the UN.
This is the reason journalism is called the fourth pillar of democracy. Kudos to the team.
The reason i hate France with passion. All there colonies still bleeding to date in Africa as a result of their atrocities.
In my opinion the United Nations Sex Abuse Scandal is founded on pornography!
They're whyte missionaries there for 'gods' work... are we really surprised this happened? People (whyte ppl in particular) have been doing this stuff 'in the name of god' for centuries.
AS IN Kazakhstan
The United States wasnt behind the formation of The Divided Nations. Russia is.
Keep up the good work Well done mam.
What a nasty dirty UN
Are you serious????UN are you serious??
Yeah I wonder why it took so long to do a front line video about this
It's a shame and so heartbreaking. Prayers and justice for the victims
so, the UN is harboring savages who rape women and children and all the UN does, is to hang up a "box of grievances" -ZSnNhasE_8&t=42m40s 42:40 on the side of the road? what the hell is going on?????? who is not doing their overpaid job this time???
disgraceful and absolutely unacceptable!!!
This is simply shocking. Peacekeepers babies. Predatory men who exploit the poor and suffering, let alone children. It's quite interesting how know Psycopath cerial killers, LOVED being in the army. They should do psychological testing and screening on these soldiers, the UN should have extreme criminal procedures for these vile individuals, perhaps an independent UN legal panel that do investigations and send the predators to jails in those respective countries where the crimes were committed. Perhaps the alienation from their countries of origin would be punishment enough.
I'm so disappointed and ashamed
what a shame. many people haven't come out. because most countries in Africa would keep silent, as it is consider shameful and the victim and the family would be stigmatise and blame for it. so it is easier for them to keep it to themselves. I can't imagine the amount of pain they went through.
Heart wrenching. Great investigative work
