From every tv-series and movie I have ever seen featuring the Poirot, I find David Suchet to be the true master of portraying the character. The depth, complexity, brilliance, and warmth of Poirot shines clearly through in Mr. Suchet's interpretation.

David Suchet as Hercule Poirot. Absolutely and definitively. I would also add the great John Moffat to this list, although his interpretation of Poirot was for radio audiences.

Simple fact is that David Suchet did Poirot alot more then any of the others. Ustinov did Poirot in one of the most famous stories and i think he did very well. With Finney it was too obviious that French is not his first language.But i liked the movie he was in too. I did not see any of the others so i got no opinion about them.

I think David Suchet is the best Poirot, but I love Peter Ustinov. I thought Kenneth Branagh's mustache was too big.

Kenneth branagh is the worst. Albert finney is a delight but suchet is quintessential.

Suchet certainly deserves to top the list, but I loved Albert Finney in Murder on the Orient Express. I've always liked Peter Ustinov but his Poirot is too comedic to be taken seriously & I think Kenneth Branagh should open a deli. His Poirot is pure ham.
