FRONTLINE traces how decisions by the Bush and Obama administrations contributed to ISIS bursting onto the world stage, seizing territory in Iraq more than two years after President Obama pulled U.S. troops out. (Aired 2014) This journalism is made possible by viewers like you. Support your local PBS station here: 🤍🤍pbs.org/donate. In the 2004 documentary “Losing Iraq”, FRONTLINE filmmakers Michael Kirk, Jim Gilmore and Mike Wiser explore the key political stories behind the Iraq war’s defining moments: from the toppling of the statue of Saddam Hussein, through the violent rise of ISIS. Drawing on one of the richest archives in broadcast journalism — including more than 40 reports on the war on terror — as well as in-depth interviews with policymakers and military leaders, FRONTLINE examines the U.S. role starting from the 2003 invasion. US foreign policy seems as if the objective actually was to destabilize the middle east. I don't know how anybody can see a different conclusion.
How stupid it was to disband the military we should have just over hauled it and included the minoritys bc what we ended up w is highly trained and armed soilders w no job along w the brewing civil wars
All those ppl we owed a a solution too. We came in and toppled their dictator and it was on us to remake the government instead we basically handed it to terroists and our enemy Iran
Hello dear, warm greetings, how are you?
America destroyed my country under the pretext of weapons of mass destruction, but it's all lies. A million Iraqis died and many Americans were killed because of Bush's lie

🇮🇶😞✌🇮🇶
I remember Abu Grave as a kid.
This place was a complete mess
Henny Penny, the sky is falling lmao.
The war in Iraq was simple. When we went to war in Kuwait with Iraq, we had to promise Saudi Arabia that if we used their country to stage our troops we wouldn't hunt down and kill Saddam we could only run them out of Kuwait. So fast forward after the terrorist attacks we're already in Afghanistan and Iraq is right there. Might as well finish what we started. George Bush Sr was president during Kuwait and George Bush Jr was president during Iraq. And I don't see one single problem with that. Bottom line they were terrorist back in Kuwait doing unthinkable things to the population. Karma only caught up with him. It's highly unlikely he wasn't in contact with the terrorist in Afghanistan too.
The same misstakes happend in Afghanistan, as the US troops went out, the whole thing went downhill! Why had nobody learned from History, i dont get it....
Iraq 🇮🇶 must ratify a new Constitution to abolish Islam as her state religion, adopting the separation of state and religion.
How was the Iraqi resistance, my friends, who among you lost an arm or a foot, remember Fallujah or Ramadi, it was your hell. I am proud to be from Fallujah, and I am proud of my country, Iraq, and the leader of the nation, Saddam Hussein. We are proud of your fighting
At least George Bush got to retire on a big pension, to a ranch in Texas .
We suffered because your democracy...we don’t need it please leave us alone ....US army killed a million iraqi people 😕🤷♂️
LET THE US BURN
If only they could do the same to bush and his circle of criminals as they did to saddam
