Once you get to that level you will probably see that you will have more guitar players available to you then you will Ukulele players, but no need to be intimidated, I am going to walk you through how to jam with a guitar player in four phases. There is something in this tutorial for all levels, whether you just know your open cowboy chords our you know how to improvise, and once you have identified your level you can walk through this one by one until you have mastered them all. This ideas can be applied to other instruments as well but this was based on ideas that work with a guitar player so you can also hear some basic examples of how it works to have some fun. Ukulele Jam - The Big Wales End Of Summer Uke Jam There have been very few opportunities to play live with other ukulele players and ukulele clubs over the last year so I was definitely NOT going to miss "The Big Wales End Of Summer Ukulele Jam" in Porthcawl on the South Wales coast! Organised by Shaun Keddy as part of the Wales Ukulele Project, Shaun also runs the Maesteg Ukulele Club and has been organising "virtual ukulele showcases throughout the Covid pandemic. With approx. 50 ukulele players from South Wales, representing several ukulele clubs we had great fun playing for over 2 hours and certainly entertained ourselves and many passers by. Easy ukulele Lesson ~ 2 CHORDS in just a few minutes! Why just say what you feel when you can SLOW JAM what you feel with your ukulele??? Strum lesson : 🤍 In case you are curious, at fret 1, the straight barre chord is Bbm7 and the following chord 2 frets up is Cm7. The other shape that looks a bit like a mountain is Dm7 and accompanying chord two frets up is Em7. Some R&B songs that *sort of* match this progression are: Jill Scott - Long Walk D'Angelo - Brown Sugar Erykah Badu - On and On/Call Tyrone Curtis Mayfield - Diamond in the Back/Be Thankful It's not the exact chord progression for these songs, but you could fake it for fun.
